How do you get lipstick out of fabric?

lipstick
runnergirl asked:

My 6 year old son’s flight jacket from NASA now has a lipstick mark due to some weird fight he had with his sister. It is a royal blue jacket that is 65% Polyester, 35% Cotton. It says to machine wash warm. I have never washed it and am worried about it shrinking. The lipstick is brand COLORIMPACT, charming lips. I’ve heard you only have one chance to get lipstick out of fabric. Any tips?

  1. i guess put lemon. or vinegar

  2. dry cleaners

  3. Rub it with a piece of cotton of cloth damp with alcohol, it’ll work, specially with poliester-cotton, it sure works!

  4. Here is tip that you can try..
There is hair spray that will work just get the cheapiest with the most alchol on it. I recommend a hair spray that is called PUMP IT UP that has worked for me..
    Or OXI CLEAN

  5. 1. Dab stain with denatured alcohol using a soft, white cloth.

    2. Rub dishwashing detergent gently into the stain with your finger.

    3. Try using a stain stick and leaving it on for several minutes before washing, if the mark is stubborn.

    4. Wash fabric as usual.

    5. Ask your dry cleaner for help if all else fails.

  6. wash the jacket in cold water and hang it up to dry

  7. use vaseline

  8. ok
lemon/vinegar at the same time works and then bring it to the drycleeners. then (i know it sounds crazy!!!) put a milk/salt mixture.
    works every time.
