Does anyone know how to get lipstick out of a comforter?

My daughters got lipstick everywhere and it's on my brand new bed spread and I've washed it in cold water and it wouldn't come out. I've tried dish soap and it didn't do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? It's a bark brown comforter and light pink lipstick so it really doesn't look all that great. Please help.

You need a degreaser type prewash. Try Awesome (sold in many dollar stores) or Grime Off which I think can be bought at Lowes and Home Depot.
