Choosing The Right Lipstick For You
In a world full of women wanting to have the attention of every man, a lipstick is a must for any lady who wants to look attractive and beautiful most of the time. Take a close look at any woman’s purse for that matter and you will definitely find either one or a couple of lipsticks safely snug inside a small make-up kit. Lipsticks are great to not only having luscious lips but are also a key to not looking pale and bland.
If you go to the cosmetics department of any shopping mall for that matter, you will be amazed at the myriad of choices that you will definitely find not only with regards to the wide variety of lipstick colors and brands but also as to the varying types as well. It is no surprise that lipsticks nowadays are not only in shades of brown and red but there are even those that are in weird colors like black, green and even blue for those rebel type individuals who want to stand out for their uniqueness and rebellious nature.
If you are given the chance to consult with a make-up expert, you are very lucky to get some advice on which type of lipstick that would suit you best. It is very important that the shade of the lipstick that you will select would match your complexion, skin tone, color of eyes as well as the color of your hair. Lipstick color is not all about matching it with what you wear. It is all about creating a match with how you physically look.
To create larger fuller lips, you choose shades that are light. If you want to create the opposite look of having seemingly thin lips choosing dark hues would do the trick. Girls with fair complexion are quite lucky for most of the time, varying shades whether they are light or dark would just suit them. Dark colored girls should go for dark red shades or those in earth tone colors.
For those who frequently find themselves with dry lips, choose lipsticks that are moisture rich or apply lip gloss. You can find a wide variety of lipsticks that contain vitamin E that helps you have soft lips. There are also lipstick varieties that cater to the woman who is always on the go. You can find long wearing types as well as those that are transfer resistant most suited for women who are too busy and do not have the time to always do touch ups.
Find the right kind of lipstick by trying on different colors and different varieties to suit your look and lifestyle.

What kind of natural concealer works best, and does anyone have suggestions on choosing red lipstick?
I know the Body Shop sells natural conceaer but I've been wondering what else is out there. I find natural beauty products work best on my skin, and help prevent breakouts. However the concealer I normally use isn't chemical free….Also when purchasing concealer, does anyone have any advice on finding the right color?
Then there is the lipstick. I'm dressing in 20's attire for a party and red lipstick was very popular then. I don't currently own any because I'm not big on lipstick. Although I have heard and discovered myself that it's the most difficult color to find the right shade of…..Please help. I'd really appreciate it

If you choose to wear a bright red lipstick then have VERY natural looking eye makeup (i'd just wear mascara). Sorry idk about natural concealer, but check sephoras, they have a big variety of foundations/concealers.

Skin tone is a key consideration. You want makeup colors that match your skin tone. Here's how to determine yours:
Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.
Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.
Ideally, a concealer should match your skin but provide slightly heavier coverage than foundation. So try it on your jawline & check it in natural light.
L'Oreal True Match concealer is a good place to start.
As for red lipstick, I find that sheer reds are the easiest to apply & wear.
If you have cool toned skin then go for reds w/ a blue undertone - i.e. Crayola crayon red, cherry Lifesaver red, or candy apple red.
If you have warm toned skin then go for reds w/ a bit of brown - i.e. wine red or brick red.
Some suggestions:
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Cherries in the Glow - a soft neutral red
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey - a sheer, deep blackberry
BeneFit Lipstick in Birthday Suit - a warm, sheer your lips but better red
Cover Girl TruShine lip colors are a good line to consider. link to product info: http://www.covergirl.com/products/product.jsp?productId=trushine_lipcolor
use the color matching feature

For natural concealers/make-up - try the bare escentuals (mineral) make-up. It's very light and your skin will thank you for it. As for red lipstick - just go to a dollar store and I'm betting you'll hit the jackpot!
